Fussy eating

How is your 17 month old eating? My daughter has her favourite meals and almost refuses to eat anything else, she’s happy to snack but is pretty fussy at the moment. I’m frustrated because I’ve done all I can to avoid this situation, like always offering veggies etc. We are spending ages preparing meals for her to just turn her nose up at them. How are you handling this? Is this a phase or has she now discovered what she likes and doesn’t like? I’m really hoping this is something that will pass 😣

I was just thinking the same thing, my son has become incredibly fussy and dramatic with meal times. Things he used to love he seems to have decided he hates/will eat one day and not the next. I try not to make an issue of it and just offer something else and when he’s finished just take him down from the high chair. But it’s hard xx

Same here, he's going through fussy days and won't eat stuff he did a few months ago. Some days he likes broccoli, some he doesn't. Meal-wise we don't bother cooking many full on meals for him except what we cook for ourselves and offer him some, we give him snacky bits a lot like banana, Greek yoghurt, toast, omelette, these sort of staple foods are what he has most days and then we just offer whatever we have for dinner, sometimes he just turns his nose up and he doesn't eat, then will have a bottle of milk before bed most days

My little boy is the same! Some meals he’s fine and others he will have 1 or 2 mouthfuls
