@Angel I thought not, it was drilled into me as a child😂 yeah I'm tempted to put mine up, I didn't think there was much point at first but now I'm not so sure
I think that's why so many millennials have anxiety about answering the door 😂 we were told growing up to never answer the door! I always check my Wyze doorbell camera if I'm not already expecting someone to come over, but luckily I'm in a house so no one usually just comes up to my door unless they know me and my family.
I don't think I would if I lived in an apartment either.
I'm the same
Yes I would probably be the same in a flat 😅 I check through the window when someone knocks even if I’m expecting someone so I never just open the door. If it was someone who knows you they would phone or text you surely 🤷♀️
Our door has rung a few times today but it’s that time of year so I’ve had a few parcels. We also had someone want to give a quote about our driveway. The time I did regret answering was to Jehovah witnesses as I couldn’t get rid of them.
@Kelli you're probably right there!😂 I've always lived in a house and never had any issues either. I thought it would be the same here especially since you have to actually be let in, good thing the door is always locked😂
I’m just way too curious. I would die early in a horror film 😂
Unless I’m expecting a delivery or guests my buzzer is not getting answered. I don’t do unexpected pop ups.
Don't answer if you don't have someone coming by
I don’t answer and check the camera. Sometimes if it’s someone that’s selling something or trying to convert me to their religion I just talk through the camera and say I’m not interested. That way they stop knocking or ringing the doorbell.
Not weird. I live in a house and still don’t answer when I’m at home 🤣 unless it’s someone/ something I’m expecting a closed door is always best IMO haha!
I look out the window and if I don't know you I'm not answering the door
In the city I wouldn't answer the door unless I could tell who it was, but now I live in a rural town and I'll get the neighbours or delivery people knocking all the time with a query or something. I feel safer though because I know all my neighbours and we would all notice if there was someone dodgy aroubd

I wasn't told to not answer the door O_o. I was just told to say (if I was home alone) that my parents were asleep or in the shower, and to not let anyone in if I was home alone. I wouldn't answer the door if I was one flat out of a block and the whole block was getting buzzed or smth. But if someone was at my specific door yeah I'd answer it? O_o
I live in a house but there are lots of times I don't answer the door. Usually because I don't have a bra on 😅😅. If it's a delivery, they'll leave it. If it's a salesman I don't want it haha
@Kelli true
You’re definitely not weird for that! I personally check on my phone through my Ring camera.
