Poor responder to stims

Anyone else just a poor responder to stims. I’m now on the highest dose and I respond the same each time. My AMH is fine. So frustrating when you have the first scan and once again you have 3 little eggs and would be super lucky to get 5 at retrieval. So frustrating. I know it’s about quality but it’s still a numbers game and it’s so annoying that my numbers are always low. Anyone else have this ??

I had this in my stimulation last month. Only half of my follicles took off. What protocol/medication/dosage are you on and how many follicles did you see for this cycle? Did the doctor make any changes to your current protocol from the one(s) you did before? I was also very frustrated at my results then so I completely get how you feel (I'm sorry).

Have you been taking any additional supplements to help? I took dhea and coenzyme Q10 between cycles and my number of follicles and eggs retrieved went up by lots

@Laura yes I have been . I took the same.

@Sabrina on the same protocol . I’m in the highest dose that’s given . 225 merifort & 225 overleap at night . I’m only on day 4 they have extended it . At this point there are 3 together and 2 just behind . Have another scan Saturday so hoping more come to the party . I never get many . Last time I got 5 . 3 mature 2 fertilized one is on ice the other I did fresh transfer got pregnant but my baby boy had edwards syndrome so I lost him at 13 weeks. Have gone straight back into this cycle . I tend to get less eggs but the ones I get seems to have good quality . This is my last round in the NHS so was just hoping to get a few that make it to blastocyst so I can send them all off for testing with my already frozen blastocyst this time . Just frustrating that I never get that many eggs .

Hopefully by the scan on Saturday or the next ones they can catch up! 🤞🏻 may be too late to ask this, but Is 225 the highest they can go? I was on 300 Meriofert, and Fyramedal for the antagonist. The doctor said if we need to do this again, he will up our dosage to 450. While we hope for more numbers (like you I feel disappointed for my outcome) as it's a numbers game, indeed quality is more important and good at least you have good quality ones. :) That's great if you can get it for testing! I'm sorry about your loss before. 2 of 3 of ours had chromosome issues so it was a good thing we did test. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for this cycle!

@Sabrina oh really . They keep saying I’m on the highest dose . Maybe it’s an NHS thing ? I will definitely ask next time. Sorry you had a bad round too. Such great news you got one good one after the testing !!!! When will you be having the transfer ? Yes I could not go through Anymore losses like that so I would rather test and make sure. Especially as my husband and I are older.

Yeah I'm not sure. We're on the private route. Yes previously I also wasnt sure about the testing, but I think it definitely makes sense for women who are older (like me) and I'm also sure I drag down the average normal embryo rate for my age group. 😔 Since we had two natural early losses before. I will be doing the transfer the next cycle, they first have to confirm on a suspected polyp for me though before that. I did think about doing another cycle so we can get more embryos as early as possible, but think we will do a transfer first and see how it goes. :) hopefully my egg quality won't deteriorate at an exponential pace after!

@Sabrina I’m so sorry for your losses . I have had two losses now as well. A year apart . I’m hoping all goes well for you !! I know it’s so difficult and so frustrating that we have to do multiple rounds to get a couple good embryos and some people do one and get like 12 😞 but it only takes one . I always thought Iv have more than one baby but after all this i would just be happy and grateful with one . Feel free to keep in touch seems like we are on similar journeys xx

Yes please! I can't see your details but do feel free to msg me privately XX I completely get you, indeed it feels very similar
