Expressing colostrum

I’ve been expressing for 3 weeks and I’m currently getting 13-14ml per day. When I started I was getting like 3ml per day

@Chloe yep that’s right you’re not meant to. I started early because I started leaking a lot and experiencing sore warm breasts and expressing gave me a huge relief

36+3 weeks for me, I started on Monday and got 1.5ml after a lot of struggle! Yesterday I got 3ml a bit easier. I'm gonna do it every couple days.

Hi all just question when you express colostrum how exactly you store it?

@Martina I have syringes that I put in the freezer with labels

@Martina I have been expressing into a little container and then using a syringe to get it all and then freezing it labelled with my name, dob, time and date expressed

@Emma it seems to be getting easier for me which is good I just do it whenever I’m leaking heaps

Haha I've managed a big 0.1ml so far. This baby is going to be so big with all my extra help 🤣 Only started for 2 days but not super worried. It's not an indication of how you go after birth anyway

I worry as I have had no leakage and no luck expressing… I’m 37weeks… worried my milk won’t come in.
