Protein in urine anyone?

I’ve had protein in my wee two times and they said if I have it next time aswell they’re going to do a gestational diabetes test. They said it is quite normal however for pregnant ladies to have protein in their wee and often isn’t a cause for concern xx

I had my midwife app yesterday and there is protein in mine too, she said it’s a UTI and I’ve just been given antibiotics for it, I wouldn’t worry too much everything else was fine with me just the protein but I’m prone to getting utis too x

Thank you girls. The consultant said she is not worried it's very tiny amounts but she will send off in case of any infections. I've got the diabetes test coming up anyway so let's see how that goes.

I'd monitor your BP everyday - that way you know if you're heading toward preeclampsia/hypertension. It's a great exercise for peace of mind. 😊

Yeah I literally monitor it everyday but I saw consultant today she said she not concerned xx

Sometimes it's just where you're dehydrated, I had it quite often early pregnancy where I had such bad morning sickness, drink lots of water might help in time for your next urine test

I have a small amount most times ( I get checked every week ) & they are never concerned as long as it’s a small amount. As long as your blood pressure is fine, then its all good. & in my previous pregnancy I had Pre- Clampsia. You will know lol

Lol @Naomi that's good to know of someone who's had it before, ok atleast ill know if I did. Yeah blood pressure has been fine and she said small amount so not concerned.

I have leukocytes and protein in my wee they send it off to be tested but I think I have thrush or BV as I’ve had green discharge
