Like Nutella? It has no nutritional value and a ton of sugar but there are other hazel nut spreads that are healthier. They don’t taste as good though. You can make it healthier by giving wheat toast if you already aren’t.

i say yes because the spread has a lot of sugar in it, maybe here and there but not every day

I’m not a health freak but I think maybe not every day but every second day ? Or if your child have during the days some healthy nutritious food than I guess it’s okay or just put strawberries with it bananas some fruits that’s would be lovely I would eat that myself 😅. Tbh some days my son eats lollipop for a starter 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️depends how he wakes up so I’m not the one to be judgemental as I tend to listen to my toddler whatever he wants to eat 😅

Yes, I think eating the same exact thing for breakfast everyday for a long time isn’t technically healthy. Eating a variety of foods is how you get all those vitamins, minerals, protein, fat, etc.

That's a pretty normal breakfast in my house. I also offer fruit with it, but if it gets them to eat something in the morning I'm fine with them having just hazelnut spread and bread every morning. If you're worried about sugar content you can always make your own spread if you have a food processor, it's pretty easy.

I think any breakfast given every single day could be seen as ‘bad’, especially a sugary spread. I do something different every day, toast, pancakes, porridge, cereal, eggs, on a rotation always with fruit.

I personally dont believe Nutella’s healthy and or any different than having butter and sugar. I would personally swap for a pure peanut butter or do pancakes where you add an egg in the batter for some protein! If I would give nutella i would do only as a snack and see it as a treat not a meal kinda thing.

Lots of French people eat sweet bread with Nutella or bread with jam, croissants etc for breakfast and are a very healthy nation. It depends on the whole diet …

Id go with almond butter over hazelnut spread. Hazelnut spread is a treat.... Or an ingredient that can be used to make desserts ( yes there are recipes that use it

I would consider hazelnut spread (Nutella) a confectionery. There are versions with minimal sugar, which may be better options if it's an everyday thing.. I give it to my daughter as a snack, with other options on her plate, to bulk up the protein etc. I'm not gunna say it's "bad", because at the end of the day, it's what your child will eat. As long as they're getting plenty of protein, carbs, and fats throughout the day, Nutella for breakfast will probably not hurt.

Yes, it’s just cake frosting with more fat! Not good for anyone to have everyday

I think it would be best not to give it everyday as it can be higher in sugar depending on brand but would be ok as a breakfast. Saying that my two year old eats cereal every morning for breakfast which isn’t ideal but it is absolutely the only thing he will eat. So with some kids just have to do what you can.

If it’s Nutella it’s got worse nutrition stats than many candy bars you’d be better off melting chocolate on it for him 🥲if you mean some hazelnut butter or something depending on the other ingredients it might be ok - but generally is also better to vary it a bit if you can regardless of what you’re giving him
