Combi feeding

My LO is 2 months now and continues to have a bottle top up after being on my breast (due to limited milk supply) but only has 2-3oz (sometimes less) of formula. Feel like she should be drinking more as she’s getting older/bigger but hard to know exactly how much she’s having in total. Her weight has been stable so far. Just curious.. For those who combi feed, how much top ups are you giving your babies?

My LO is 10 weeks, birth weight 6lb 1 now 11lb 7oz and I'm feeding exactly the same as you. She takes similarly when feeding with me... 2/3oz after being on my breast. If she's just having formula (with her dad) she takes about 5oz sometimes more. Xx

I think that sounds about right, if you’re bottle feeding after BF. My little girl will drink between 4-5oz if she’s having a bottle only. She only takes max 2oz after BF usually x

My daughter is 9W4D. She mainly takes breast milk and only has 1 bottle (3oz) of formula each day. We introduced formula to supplement breast milk. We had a week where her demand was so high that I was struggling to keep up. We decided to start introducing her to formula and started her off on 1oz and increased by 1oz each week. She is going on 3rd week on formula, and we are going to cap the formula 3oz a day. For us, primary food is breast milk and supplement is formula. We do understand that as she grows and demands more... formula will be her primary food.

My daughter refuses to feed on my left breast so I combi feed. She has 3-4oz twice a day once in the morning and once in the evening. Weight gain is fine so it sounds about right
