Self care

How do you go about self care after pregnancy? Before pregnancy, I had a solid skin care routine and hair routine. Had my hair and nails done . During pregnancy, my skin was glowing ,nails and hair done. Now 6 mpp I don't have the energy for anything, I kinda don't like the way my skin is it's so dull and dry. 2 mpp washing my face was a pain it literally burned , i had to use breastmilk to smooth it. My hair is brittle arrggg I hate it. Please drop some skin and hair care products I can look into to feel like myself again.

I'm only 2.5 weeks PP, so I have no idea 😅 I just try to shower whenever I have time.

I'm 3 months pp If you don't have the energy, then rest. If you really want to. Ask someone to watch baby for an hour or hire a sitter and book an apt

One product I really like to brighten skin is the TruSkin vitamin c serum. A gentle cleanser some of that serum and moisturizer should help you feel a little more human❤️

I never stopped hair care, skin or nail care I continued what I could PP. With my multis I took “hair skin nails” and another hair vitamin. These days I’m also taking collagen powder. I eat healthy, drink loads of water from BF. Hubby is great at looking after baby or pushing him around the shopping centre while I got my stuff done. After about a year PP I started doing everything myself coz I had more time and I CBF making appointments, plus I could fix up one nail, or change color nails, or do a whole set before I need to go out, if I wanted to, without going in. Plus doing my hair and nails is therapeutic for me, an excuse to say “babes I’m doing my nails okay” which to him means “don’t let the baby disturb mum” 😂 Your face cleanser sounds like it’s too harsh, maybe look for something gentler. Like a cream cleanser?

Anything K beauty works wonders on my skin. Try an oil cleanser at night, I find that helps get rid of the dull look. You can also try the cosrx essence snail mucin, and a centella serum. Vitamins are also good for your hair, skin and nails; I’m still taking my prenatals 4.5 months PP. Also try massaging your scalp with castor oil

Collagen is great for hair, skin and nail health. I add a plain collagen powder to my baked goods and smoothies. For face products I am loving M-61 brand. Their hydraboost jelly cleanse and hydraboost collagen peptide water cream are my favorite. I would say a thicker cream at night for times my skin is extra dry would be nice though.
