Holiday pay

For those that haven’t returned back to the same place of work after maternity leave, did you still get the holiday pay your owed? For reference I wasn’t allowed to take holiday all throughout my pregnancy, so we’re talking about 18 months worth of holiday I’ve accrued since finding out I’m pregnant and maternity leave. TIA

You normally get whatever you’ve accrued unless there’s something specific in your contract to say you have to return for a set time, or you have to pay something back.

Why weren’t you allowed to take holiday during your pregnancy? Pretty sure that’s discrimination?x But yes, you should get all holiday accrued. They may argue that you can’t have last years holiday if you have a no rollover clause but I’d seek advice from ACAS as they prohibited you taking holiday x

@Cassie I work TTO so accrue the holiday all year. Normally it’s either divided up and used for half terms OR we can have it in a lump sum in September. I was told it would be given to me in September at the end of my maternity pay but they have since changed it and said HMRC will claim back the maternity pay so I have to wait until the following September to get it. By then it will be 2+ years of holiday pay. I’m very confused by it all 😂
