Packing for a road trip…

This will be our first family trip since the baby was born. He is 4 months old. We did a long road trip moving from Oregon to Florida when he was 1 month old - but for that we just… had everything and were staying at hotels. Doing what we had to just to get through it. This trip is to see family and we will be staying at my dad’s house for almost a full week. I’m having some anxiety about what to pack… sound off in the comments: what are your must haves for a road trip with baby? (aside from obvious: car seat, stroller, travel crib, diapers wipes, diaper bag, clothes, blankets)

Commenting to see answers because I also want to know 🙏🏽♥️

Same! Taking my two week old to the GA mountains next week 😬

Portable sound machine I use the “hush” brand, toys to distract baby in the car

I took a portable bassinet for her so she stayed used to sleeping in a "crib" I also took all her medicines too aka Tylenol, gas relief, teething oragel just in case, and diaper rash stuff. Also took travel size bath stuff. I took lots of teething and regular toys for her. I have a tablet for her for if we are in a hotel so she can watch baby friendly shows since the TV did not have any on for her. I didn't have to worry about anything for the car ride since she loves car rides but can't help there. Hmm also took some bottles and my pumping stuff just in case we were out doing setting and I couldn't breastfeed. Idk if you breastfeed or not but I def had to use my handpump on a couple occasions 😬

Also just for reference, my husband and I travel with our little one, she's 5 months, about twice a month so we are constantly on the go so those are what I've found are things I really need. The first couple times we went on a trip I brought almost her whole room. So I def cut back a lot of stuff 😅

Thank you @Brittany !!
