Food

When you cook food for the family (inc baby) do you make a separate portion for baby without salt or do you give whatever you’re having? Also if you’re going out to eat in a restaurant, do you request for the restaurant to make seperate food for baby without salt?

I add the salt after taking my babies portion out wherever I can. If we're eating a meal using a jar of sauce with salt and sugar already in, I will give him a different meal. Haven't eaten out with him much but so far would take his own food for restaurant to warm up.

As much as possible yes, I leave some over before adding salt/pepper/chilli. At restaurants I only order her something that likely doesnt have much salt for example a side of veggies or toast, or maybe some mash- if it has a little bit of salt I wouldnt worry too much. But I usually bring my own, have never asked them to make a separate portion

Nope, he has what we have. I don’t add extra salt into stuff before I’ve scooped him a bit out (if possible) but I cook with normal stuff most of the time (normal stock cubes, normal gravy, normal seasoning etc) And no, he’ll eat what we order at a restaurant, I don’t make special requests, if worried it won’t be suitable then you can take food for a baby.

Depends what it is, if it's pasta sauce or something like that then he gets a small portion, otherwise he gets no salt. I don't eat out with him so that's not really an issue, but I'd take his own food if I did
