Activities

My little boy is 22 months old and I’m running out of ideas of what to do. At home or out and about. What activities is everyone doing with their little ones? X

When we go out we go to different playgroups, playgrounds, play cafes, soft play centres, forest walks, national trust places and town trips where we have lunch at a cafe then visit the library or park after. Inside I quite often involve my 22 month old in housework, when I vacuum she 'mops' she loves the mop for some reason, folding clothes and she gets involved, she loves smoothies so I'll make one with her, colouring/ painting, role play with her play kitchen then just general hide and seek, chase type games. While I cook dinner or if she needs some quite/ chill time I'll put the TV on x

Have a class and playgroup once a week, will try to get out each morning on the other days. We’ve started basic arts and crafts, which she loves and will bake once a week together. Other than that, lots of role play and play!

Groups are a saver - we do one most days! We are lucky that we have a zoo, ice cream farm, forest adventure Park and National trust, and I became members to all for various birthday/Christmas gifts. At home, I got a tuff tray, so we do lots of sensory play, play dough, painting, cereal and diggers, pumpkin painting or carving, baking etc. He also 'helps' with housework But don't get me wrong, it's hard work being at home, so most of the time we are outside or out the house x
