No, you take the little pre-made bottles with sterilised teats

@N 💞 oh ok thanks! I was hoping to use the bottles I’ve bought so they start on the teets we will use going forward

I’m sure baby will be fine adjusting, likelihood is you won’t be in hospital for that long anyway

This depends massively on where you are. Which country are you in first of all?

I’ve used 2 different hospitals and neither allowed sterilising. If they had to give you formula it was pre made bottles either screw on disposable teats. If you take your own they advised the pre made bottles

When I used the pump at the hospital they gave me a microwaveable sterilizer bag for it and they have a dedicated microwave down the hall you could use. You could use it for bottles as well. I did use the premade formula with their nipples and my baby switched to the bottles I picked out no problem.

Thank you everyone, that’s so helpful

Like above comment depends where you are but im in Bristol and St Michaels give you sterilizer bags to use in the microwave provided, i took my own bottles in and used that with pre made formula so baby got used to his bottles x

I went to St Peter’s and they have me a microwave bag which can be used 20 times only takes 3 mins really handy

The hospital I was in gave me single use sterile bottles

They have the bags that go in the microwave because baby won’t drink all the little bottles anyway so saves wasting milk
