Early Pregnancy Units/Help?

Has anyone been seen by the EPU at North Manchester, Wythenshawe or Oldham? I called North Manchester last week as I was advised to do this by my midwives up until the 16 week mark with any concerns but I just got fobbed off and the nurse told me to go through GP as its referral only to get seen in the EPU? Wondering if Wythenshawe or Oldham are any more helpful or if everyone who’s been to any has had to be referred in also? Suffering with pains and it’s proving so difficult to get some help & checked over.

Call Wythenshawe and go there. They are the best x hope everything is fine x

Oldham is pretty good, I had a lot of problems with my first pregnancy (in Devon) so second time around I was constantly worried and ringing 111 etc. I used Oldham EPU when I passed large blood clots and was seen to in the same night. They were really helpful and understanding ♥️

I have used Oldham, you can ring them direct and they will ask you to go in. They were really good actually. Or if really worried just turn up and ask for the early pregnancy unit

I had my baby nearly a year ago but I went to Wythenshaw at 8 weeks pregnant and no referral was needed I just rang them explained my situation and they so me that day and they had a slot for a scan too. They were lovely. It may have changed. . . Hope it helps a little though

I had been to wythenshawe and its wonderful. They are so helpful and kind just call them and they will book you in.

Before 16weeks is useless at Oldham but as soon as you pass 16weeks, the triage system is really good. I’m comfortable there

Thanks so much everyone, you’ve all been so helpful, I’ll try Wythenshawe or Oldham tomorrow🤍

Try oldham as they said any issues to maternity or attend a and e xx

Just an update for anyone that might read it. Today I called Wythenshawe first thing & they’ve booked me in to be seen on Thursday morning with a scan t& gave lots of advice in the meantime. I spoke to a lovely nurse on the phone who couldn’t have helped more if she tried, I wanted to cry knowing someone was finally listening to me. Thanks for all the comments🤍
