Away from Toddler for First Time

Anyone else struggling with being away from their toddlers for the first time when it’s time to give birth? I cried about it a lot at the beginning of my pregnancy but then forgot about it. But now that I’m almost 33 weeks it’s feeling more and more real. My daughter is 2 and I’ve never spent a night away from her. Found myself sobbing today because I literally don’t know how to handle it. She’ll be with her grandma, who she loves, so I know she’ll be safe and happy for the most part. But I’m just hearing “I miss mama” in my head over and over again 😭😭😭😭😭😭

It will be ok mama!!! I have a 4.5 year old and I’ve spent nights away from her before but I find myself feeling emotional about the nights I will be in the hospital, and I wonder if it’s because we are getting the feels over the fact that we will be there to have another baby, and that adds a bit of pain when we think our other baby might be missing us. It will be the first time we feel that new special kind of mom guilt! Haha. I think just keep focusing on how to make the time with her grandma extra special, and remember it will probably be much harder on you emotionally than your toddler!

I’ve just now made the same realization so I’m just gonna go cry myself to sleep ;-;

😭😭 yes I’m sad all the time. Mine is only 15 months and I’m stressing about how much her world is going to be rocked when when being home our new little man
