Yes, when you're heavily pregnant, you can use parent and child parking spaces. Many places recognize that pregnancy, especially in the later stages, can make it difficult to walk long distances or maneuver through tight spaces. These spots are intended to provide convenience for parents with small children, and they often extend this courtesy to pregnant women as well. However, since policies may vary depending on the location or store, it's a good idea to check any specific guidelines where you're parking.
I’ve already had a couple of times where I’ve come back to my car to find someone parked too close to my door to get in easily! I’d happily argue my point but will be checking, can’t afford parking tickets if it is enforced!
I don’t think any parent would judge you for using one when heavily pregnant. They aren’t monitored- I see people using them who absolutely shouldn’t be allowed to of the time just because they are closer to the shops.
People who don’t have kids and aren’t even pregnant use them so don’t see why you couldn’t. Technically you do have a child.
I remember being heavily pregnant and the gymnastics I had to do going through the passenger side because someone parked really close to me. Luckily it was dark so hopefully no one see me 🙈
I’ve had sciatica since 6+ weeks and use the parent bays as walking is agonising some days. Pregnant women are allowed to use them ☺️
Individual shops have different rules tbh. It’s not something that’s enforceable as far as I’m aware, like you wouldn’t get a fine. I know that towards the end with my daughter I used these as long as I wasn’t taking the last spot. I had bad PGP so walking far wasn’t an option and I got stuck so many times because I couldn’t open the door far enough for my bump. I think this is a personal opinion as if it’s frowned upon or not. I don’t see an issue with it personally x
