Show your support

I was on placement for counselling. Portfolio submitted when the baby was 6 months. I worked for a recruiter that offered PGCEs. You get time to do your written work etc. you will get support. It won't be easy, I found what I have done crazy but I'm qualified and ending placement soon. Can you do it, anyone can do anything they put their mind too and if you want it you will make it work. You also have over 13 weeks a year off.. lots of memories with baby.

Don’t over think it they’re desperate for teachers, so they’re more likely to take people on more over a course that’s over competitive. They’ll mainly ask you questions like why you want to be a teacher and how do you destress because it’s an intense course and career. They’ll also ask you a bit about your subject knowledge. When you’re planning your lesson to present to them make sure you know exactly why you did what for example why did you select those specific learning outcomes/ are you aware of the national curriculum? In terms of being a mother whilst doing it you’ll get support for nurseries paid for you it is a hard course but it’s doable especially if your little one has a routine, just work around it. Hope this helps, good luck and feel free to message me if you have any questions

@Neeshia thank you, could I ask how the nursery support works if I’m on placement, I’m worried about that as I won’t be able to work and the placement is most days 8-5
