Milk/ formula

Hi all, My daughter is going onto the bigger class at nursery and they said they don’t give formula in this room, they switch to cows milk and from a beaker. My LO is 19 months and still having 1st formula for her bed and nap times just got my thinking if anyone else’s baby still had milk? What age should you think about stopping? Thanks x

Is there any particular reason she's still on formula milk? Babies at this age are supposed to get all nutrients from food mainly so there is no need to give them formula any more. Cow's milk should be just fine for their calcium needs. Xx

It’s a personal preference I didn’t want her having cows milk because of all the hormones in the milk

I exclusively express and my LO still has two bottles of expressed milk a day (and a little bottle through the night). If she asks for extra milk, or sometimes as a snack we give cows milk. I think once she stops drinking milk at night, I will start mixing cows milk with her breastmilk and reduce to one pumping session a day, but I’ll try to carry on for as long as she wants milk / as long as I have milk.

If your after milk alternatives I buy Oat, coconut and almond from Aldi. My boy drinks those, I just add the vitamins in xoxox
