Toddler won’t eat vegetables

Please tell me I’m not alone. My toddler refuses to eat any vegetables I put on her plate!! Won’t even eat a cucumber! She will eat, chicken, fish fingers, tuna, pasta, yogurt. A lot of fruits but just no vegetables at all!! I’m getting so worried because it can’t be good for her but I don’t know what to do. I keep offering, I leave it on her plate with no pressure but she just won’t even try it. Any tips? Any advice??

My toddler is exactly the same and barely eats fruits as well so you aren’t alone 😅

My toddler is the same. Plain pasta and cheese omelette is basically what he lives off

Absolutely the same here. Can get her to have odd bits like cucumber. I did some sharing plates where we shared what's on it and she seemed more willing to try it cos I was also eating it. They don't have much control at this age so they try control what they can and what they eat is one of the few things they can. Maybe try doing a platter with a fair few options on (some you know she likes) and see if that helps.

My son is the same way, I blend veggies into fruit smoothies since he loves those and just loves fruit in general or add it into eggs. I hide them in things he likes.

You can hide carrots, zucchini and cauliflower in pasta sauce. It's also normal for toddlers not to like vegetables. Keep offering and eventually they will.

Yep same here he loves fruit though. I try and make meals where I can hide veg such as spaghetti bolognaise, lasagna etc, I have given up serving it directly to him

I wouldn’t worry, they are eating meat and dairy which I think is far more important..with the added fruit it’s all good. The only veg he eats is peas and cucumber. But he eats all the fruit so i won’t sweat it!

Mine won’t eat vegetables either so I blend them up into a sauce and serve with pasta. I also make carrot muffins and mixed veg and cheese muffins ornery bites to get veg in.

I would try to put veggies in pasta sauce and turn them into waffles and never force them. Try to relax yourself about this. He may feel you are desperate for him to eat veggies and enjoy the attention coming out from it. 😊 Good luck mama. If he eats well other things I wouldn't worry. It may be just a fase.

I have to hide them in a blended pasta sauce

My toddler doesn’t eat fruit ( apart from the odd apple) And does not eat veg. He just doesn’t like try new things

Thank you everyone - I feel so reassured to know we’re not the only ones. Hopefully she’ll grow out of it soon and eat a more balanced diet. I’ll try and feel less guilty until then!
