Feeling torn

I am a stay-at-home mom currently, and my man pays the bills, but it’s just not enough to do extra things I want to do, like shopping, hair, nails, house decorating, medical, etc. I want to go back to work and make money for myself so I have the money to afford the lifestyle I want to live. I used to be an activities director for seniors, which I made pretty good money from, but I have now been out of work for two years ever since I found out I was pregnant, and after my pregnancy, I have just been home watching my son, who is 3 months old, and I love it, but I want to be more productive. I lost my car right before I got pregnant and have just been feeling stuck without my own car to go out when I want, etc. What would you all do in my predicament?

How much is a nanny going to cost?

This is the reason I still work, maybe you can find remote work so you don’t have to trade time with your baby for a second income. I will say it’s HARD work working from home with an infant but of the three options: 1 income, daycare, wfh with baby - I personally think it’s the best one

@Stephanie probably 200-300 a week which is pretty expensive too

@Kayla Sutter yeah. It’s sucks because daycare and a nanny is expensive plus I don’t know if I’m ready leave him with anyone and still feeling bummed about my situation. I want to feel better and be able to do things on the days I’m home not just sit in the house all day and have to wait for my man who works 24/7 and then we barely have enough to do anything that I want which is shopping or getting hair done or nails something that is women need . It’s hard but yeah I’m trying to find a work from home job but that requires me getting Wi-Fi and a computer and a house phone line so that is another income he’s going have to give before I start

Have you looked into building something from home that’s more passive? That way you don’t have to trade time for money and be away from your baby/have to deal with someone else raising them
