Weaning when out and about

I've just started weaning my little one - she's just on purees at the moment per doctors advice. I've batch cooked loads and put them in the freezer and then I defrost over night and heat them on hob before she has them. How do I feed her when we're out? I don't really want to give her the pre made pouches yet.

Novice here - do they need the food when out since their main feed is the milk til 1??

I've taken puree out frozen in the morning so it slowly defrosted then asked for hot water in a cafe and place it over that too warm through but did take pouches as back up if we couldn't find anywhere suitable to feed. I figure if they are getting home made food 90% of the time the odd pick is ok just double check the ingredients before buying some have all sorts in but some are just veg and seasonings etc

There are reusable pouches you can get online to transfer your home cooked meals into and freeze /defrost and heat. X

Nom Nom Kids do reusable pouches and spoons that you can use on the go. The spoons fit their pouches that you can fill as well as shop bought ones. Their pouches are great coz if you’ve just started weaning you can just put a small amount in and not waste any 😊

If we are out and about she may have something from our plate to feel the texture in her mouth or we may not even bother. Milk is still their main source of dietary needs. Equally as others have said you can get reusable pouches and then maybe take a flask of hot water or ask when you are out for some hot water if you want it warmed up.

You could get a small tub to put it in and then take a flask of hot water to warm it through. Ellas kitchen are good for premade pouches. They are litelly what's said on the pouch with a bit of citric acid for preservatives
