No its not early. I'd start with 6 spoon one time a day for first time not more than that then give formula and let him leave whatever he doesn't wanna finish then gradually increase to 2x etc. It all depends on child as all are different. Ped always say no to everything so I'd do myself. You know your kid better than anyone, if u feel they are ready then start it. Best of luck 🥰
So far only tried bananas just because i wanna be careful about any potential allergies but my baby also just turned 4 months old and i started with just a table spoon (he never finishes it) 2x every other day 2x a day

I didn’t start til 6 months with my first. Look up solid starts it’s got great info on baby lead Weaning.
I tried that with my first and it just didn’t work out so I will definitely be waiting till 6 months with my second
So in my opinion, you’re doing everything just fine. I personally would start with something less “heavy” since bananas are a little thicker in consistency. Plus too much banana could cause constipation. That’s just me though. I also started my daughter when she was 4mo.
How old? My baby just turned 4 months, and pedi gave me green light for purees. I've given her carrots and prunes, and she has seemed to tolerate those well. Have you tried a different food? Also! I only give her a full tablespoon. So I know I'm not feeding her too much, and she will still want milk.
