I can't get my LO to eat any veggies, can I blend them

If I blend them will he still get the nutrients? I can steam them light and then blend. He sometimes likes to drink some soup so im thinking of adding blended carrots and green peas to his soup? Do let me know if this makes sense as he's almost 3 now and has never had veggies! I've tried so many things, he sees me eat them daily, but still has no interest

Hide them in soup, pasta sauce or pancakes. Steam n puree them. Maybe slowly introduce with his fave foods.

Blended veggies have the same nutritional value as non blended ☺️ it’s a great idea

Make funny faces w them on a plate. Tomatoes for eyes. Lettuce for hair. Or I do cauliflower baked w cheese slathered on top and he loves that. Any veggies covered in cheese toddlers will *usually* eat. And he loves sweet potato fries. My son loves veggies but those are some ideas. Blended is okay too, as sometimes I’ll make myself a green juice w leftover celery and spinach/kale/carrot and other fruits n veggies, etc as I cbf eating it but I’ll drink it all. Still getting nutrients. He also loves frozen peas/corn/mango/blueberries from the freezer.

In the same boat, I blend them into pasta sauces and make tomato the main vegetable and that seems to work! He will also eat them when I hide anything in a pinwheel! X

Yes you can blend them and add them to things. Will he interact with them at all? Maybe start with touching or exploring veggies in fun ways without any expectation that he will eat them, playing with them or like someone else said making pictures with them. Could 'paint' on a plate with some beetroot chunks, dip veggie sticks into something maybe? Change the size or shape, like a whole carrot or a whole pepper to nibble like an apple, that might make the veggies seem more fun for him?

@Aggs thank you

Mine is 3- he doesn’t love carrots but he’ll eat them in chicken noodle soup. I cut cucumbers into a star shape (I have a mini cookie cutter) which is sometimes popular. He loves shepherds pie, which I hide a bunch of veg in. I grate carrots or zucchini into any dish with ground beef. We eat tons of corn. Surprisingly, my kiddo loves salad. We do a chopped taco salad sometimes or he’ll eat a whole side salad at a restaurant. Occasionally I’ll blend carrots or peas into his Mac & cheese, but that’s so much work and dishes and no one else in the family wants it, so I very rarely do it.

Honestly try not to stress over it so much. Taste buds are so different for everyone and change in little ones all the time. I would always offer and try not to hide all the time because hiding won’t ever peak his interest in eating veggies. Give them with each meal you think is appropriate and one day he might surprise you and just try them and like them. It takes like a million goes with one new food for baby to become comfortable and familiar with it. In the meantime he will be getting vitamins, minerals, fibre, and protein from other sources of food you give him. Veggies aren’t the end all and be all of nutrition.

Yes do but continue to offer them whole as well!
