I applied at the end of August and still haven’t heard from them

I applied over the phone and got my first payment less than a week later, the lady I spoke to on the phone said applying online can take up to 12 weeks x

I applied about 3 weeks ago and it only took 2 weeks for payment x

I applied begging of May, same as you on-line. Payment was middle of August.

Do you need to wait until baby is born to apply? X

@Sammy yes as you need birth certificate number which they give you once the birth is registered x

Is this child benefit is for everyone anf where do we apply

@RAA I don't know if the US has child benefit, this is in the UK 🙃 its dependant on household wage

Applied online in August and got paid 3 days after the application

Took mine a while first time but just got a bulk figure x

I don’t get how there so different in times, some wait some don’t 🙈 I phoned this morning and he said it’s been received ok and that it’s not starting to be processed yet tho!

@Sammy I did yes. LO was born 12th March but took 4 weeks to get an appointment to register her birth so I applied on 8th April - then had my first payment on 15th April which was backdated from 18th March (born on a Tuesday and they do it from Mondays lol)

I got it within a couple of weeks of applying online. I’d probably give them a call I have seen a few people have delays because of silly things like spellings and they won’t call you to inform you 🙈

@Sammy oohh good luck! Hope it goes smoothly! Not sure how busy it is where you're based but see if you can book a registry appointment? I didn't realise there was a 4 week wait and i had an elective section so in theory I should've booked it in advance knowing I was having her in week 37 lol! X

I applied 6 August. I checked online last month and expectation was for it to be processed in November as they're so far behind with them

@Kayla well she gave you wrong information. @Suliat get your application chased up. Online applications take up to 28 days (4 weeks) and can be backdated up to 12 weeks (3 months). I applied online mid July and had it mid august.

I applied last February / March and got the first payment in June or July. It took ashes ages, but they did backdated the payments.

Can you apply.before the birth certificate??
