Rolling back to belly

Is it a big issue that my baby girl isn't and cannot roll from back to belly? From about 6 months she could roll from belly to back, but never has she rolled from back to belly, not even in her sleep. Baby girl is now 8.5 months. Any other bubs had the same issue or is not doing it either?

Babies do everything in their own time, but if you’re worried maybe go see your gp or child health nurse for a checkup, even just for reassurance for yourself

Is she crawling/standing? If she’s meeting other milestones I wouldn’t be too concerned. Mine is doing it now but took a while longer than others because she always tried to do a sit up to get off her back rather the roll to one side.

She is sitting, however she is not crawling nor standing/pulling self to standing. My baby is doing the same when she is laying on her back, she lifts up her head and a bit of her back lile she wants to sit up. I have been assisting her to roll over. She will do it if i assit with her legs then she will use her back to roll herself over, whilst I am holding onto her legs.

Does she get enough time on the floor daily? Also if you can rotate toys and bring out new or toys that she hasn’t seen in days that may entice her to roll to them. I used the method of using a toy and hovering it over my boys head and he would look back and want to flip to see it. Once he started he didn’t stop he rolled both ways about 7 months now 9 months.

I have tried hovering the toy over her head and guiding it to the side for her to roll, however she just moves her head to look at it and not move her body 😅

I will keep trying, however she isn't too big of a fan for tummy either as she seems like she wants to crawl, however still isn't able to.

I think they’re supposed to get an 8 month MCHN check up, perhaps you could bring it up with them just to make sure?

I might bring her in just to double check!

Could also try more side play - that helped my baby who was only rolling one direction
