Screen time

How much screen time does your little one have (tv/tablet/ipad etc) and when in the day do you let them have screen time My little boy has been on off poorly the last how many weeks so we’ve slipped with how much screen time he’s been having where he’s not had energy to play etc. but now I’m noticing he’s literally glued to his tablet. So I am wanting to get back to abit of a stricter routine with less screen time and more play.

This is our opinion and no judgement, but we don’t let our daughter have a tablet. When we have used one ie when on holiday we found when we got back and she wanted to carry on using it she was very addicted and behaviour was bad when asked to come off. In Regards to the tv is it had got a lot and no one else is aloud to watch anything when she’s around. But this last few weeks there has been big chunks of the day where it’s not on or she is busy playing with something. Think the guidance for little ones is no more than one hour a day but interested to know if and how people stick to that?

Our daughter gets 30 mins iPad on weekday mornings and nothing else through the week. On weekends she’s probably does 30 mins ish iPad in the morning and an hour or so TV in the afternoon (more recently because I’m breastfeeding a newborn and pretty much glued to the sofa) She doesn’t have her own tablet and knows the iPad is not for use at any other time than 30 mins in the morn

Yeh we was like this where he’d have tv or iPad before school when eating breakfast and then when I’m making dinner as my baby has dancing fruit so I can get dinner done. Sometimes I’d let him have a little in the day depending what’s going on. But where he’s been ill and in and out of hospital and not wanting to do anything just chill where’s he’s been poorly I’m tryna get him back into the old routine

My little one has no set time on her tablet. She has access to it whenever she likes. She actually rarely goes on it as she'd rather play with her toys or be outside. We are quite busy people and dog walk a lot and always out and about. But by allowing her to have access to her tablet, it's causes no issues and is never a big deal if she wants to go on it. At the end of the day, I like a chill in front of the TV sometimes so why can't she. She also has educational games on her tablet too which she loves to do x
