Sorry if this is a silly question
Hi! I am 7 weeks tomorrow. I’ve been doing IVF privately and all being well tomorrow we get handed over to the NHS. Do I need to ring my doctor and tell them? How do I register - do I just call the hospital I want to go to and say ‘hey I’m pregnant’ - as you can tell this is my first and I feel like I’ve done so much prep over the years on getting pregnant and now I’m here I don’t have a clue what I’m doing haha x

Just Google midwives and your local area, most places have a self referral form online you fill in and then midwives contact you 😊

Congratulations :) just call your GP they will tell you local hospitals and then you can self refer :)

Hi Steph I have been doing ivf privately also and I am 6+5 today I actually self referred myself to nhs midwife x

Hey! At my 7 week scan with my clinic they discharged me and told me everything I needed to do from there. If they don’t mention anything, then yes, a phone call to your doctors and if they have an in house midwife you’ll be seen at your doctors surgery, if not then they will tell you to choose a hospital of your choice (within your region) and self refer online I think.
