Weaning
Have any other babies been slow with weaning? My little boy was not interested at all with food, we started tastes at 5 months and continued with purees at 6, he’s only just now tolerating texture and very small lumps at 10 month. I really try and do abit of baby led weaning and he’s started to suck on toast and he has melty puffs but more often than not he gags so much and ends up being sick. We continue to keep trying and I have seen some improvement, he’s only just got his first two teeth so I wonder whether that has contributed to the issue?

do you have facebook? there’s a group called “weaning the BLW way” and it helps so much with advice on weaning, meal preps etc. I would really recommend joining it x

Also really struggling with this! So no advice sorry! But We were the same started first tastes and purées at the same age but really struggling with proper meals and textures .. she’ll happily eat a 7+ month pouch no problem but all home cooked meals even if I mash or blend them she manages to find something she doesn’t like and spits the whole lot out 🤦🏻♀️ or put her hand in her mouth and pulls it out and gets in a right mess! But manages small finger foods like puffs and crackers fine .. she also only has 2 bottom teeth. hoping it just happens one day and she just starts enjoying it and managing it better!😣
