Hey different hospital sorry (I’m on the Wirral) and I know different trusts have different guidance but we are dealing with the same and weren’t admitted - I was really worried i would be! They have me booked in for a scan at 39 weeks tomorrow and will be booking a section if still needed xx

Again, different hospital but the Countess admitted me until I had my c section when I had an unstable lie a year ago. I went in with a change of movements at 38 weeks and it turned out my little girl was transverse. They kept me in from them on. They were worried about a cord prolapse if my waters broke and baby was moving into a different position every day (other than the right one) until she came out 🙈 so I was quite happy to be kept in at that point xx

@Liv thanks for replying! Yeh I’m in a similar situation I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I’ve got a scan in the morning, I was wondering if it was likely I’d be admitted afterwards but I’ve got a toddler at home so can’t really 😂 good luck with your scan! Mines still transverse I’m sure haha xx

@Vicky ah ok! I’ve got my scan tomorrow and she’s definitely still transverse 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I’ve got a toddler at home so I’m just wondering what I’d do 😂 but I am worried sick about my waters going tbh so perhaps for the best haha xx

Oh bless you. What a hard situation 😢 These babies just do their own thing don’t they 🤪 They might offer you an ECV. A friend of mine was in a similar situation with another child. The ECV worked for her and she got to go home xx

Sorry…that should say another child at home xx

I’m at Leighton and at 37 weeks had a scan and they saw she was transverse and I wasn’t allowed to go home, they were worried if my waters were to break the cord could prolapse and I’d need to be rushed for an emergency c section. It was all really scary and I never knew baby was lay that way and of how serious it was. They wanted me to stay until 39 weeks and have a c section unless she moved. I was admired on the 4th oct and by the next night she had moved and by the 6th October the scan that morning confirmed she was still head down and I was going home, thank god! I went back Friday for another scan and she was still head down and also my fluid around baby was much lower. She’s estimated to be a big baby and after last week I’m opting for a c section now at 39 wks

Also they did offer an ECV if no movement but it can make your waters break sometimes and it’s not guaranteed as they can move back too. They will tell you everything but give you time to think what you want. Hopfully she’s lay absolutely fine now for you
