Induction visiting hours

Can anyone that’s had an induction at Broomfield tell me if birthing partners can stay with you throughout or if they have to come and go during certain hours? Heard a few different things including some say they can’t stay overnight but surely if it all kicks off then they need to be there?

9am-8:30pm on DAU, they’re suppose to be sent home after 8:30 and they’ll call your birthing partner if anything changes etc overnight

I was induced in 2022 but im guessing still applies. Your birthing partner can only stay while you’re in labour, otherwise they have to leave by 8:30pm. Like the above comment, they’ll ring when they need to come. X

I was induced Jan 23. My husband had to leave at 8.30pm. If you’re doing hypnobirthing course, I really recommend trying to practice the breathing exercises on your own. Tens machine, squeezing a comb and moving around helped a lot when I didn’t have my husband there. Trying to get into the zone alone was harder to do as I wasn’t aware that he had to leave until he got told to. The Freya app is really good, it has hypnobirthing breathing exercises where someone is talking you through each contraction and giving you positive affirmations. I think it’s about £2.99. When I was being transferred to the labour ward they contacted my husband and he met me on the ward and he stayed until I was moved to the post labour ward xx
