Toddler Breakfast Ideas (egg allergy)

I feel like I'm running out of breakfast ideas for my 15 month old! She does oatmeal or pancakes most days, and i think she's sick of them both. What are some of your favorite egg free, toddler friendly breakfast foods?

Yogurt with fruit and peanut butter, rice pudding with honey or fruit, toast with peanut butter or butter

Yogurt, English muffin or other toast with avocado or nut butter, waffles, sometimes I do roll ups with tortillas and strawberries and cream cheese or ricotta (lots of combos you could do though)

Unfortunately, she also has a milk allergy (though we're working on the milk ladder) , so we can't do the yogurts, puddings, or cheeses either. And she won't touch toast. Those all sound like lovely suggestions though!

Avocados, tomatoes, and fruit! A little tapas 😊

@Marisa check out some of the dairy-free options for yogurts and puddings or cheeses! My brother can't have dairy and he's been impressed with how far the dairy free alternatives have come in the last few years

We cycle between porridge (oatmeal) and cereal for breakfast. Sometimes we have toast but that's a rarity. Although I'm guessing you're America and your breakfasts seem to be a lot more "full meal" than we do in the UK. We don't tend to have cooked food for breakfast unless it's porridge. Pancakes are a once a year treat usually. Our 4 year old will sometimes have a bowl of fruit if he doesn't want anything else. But breakfast is porridge or cereal. That's it.

Try feedingtinybellies.com they have a lot of recipes All recipes have an indicator to see if they are gluten dairy free et cetera. Look for the V circle All recipes have a substitution section

If you can afford it, you can always use Just Egg instead of eggs and then create little omelettes and scrambles with veggies and meat or whatever! Egg allergies don’t mean you can’t eat egg-style meals as long as you’ve got a good vegan substitute!

Is she OK with soya? Tofu scramble is a very healthy alternative to eggs. You can also make chickpea omelettes too. High in protein and very healthy.

@Marisa they have some really good dairy free yogurts my son has a dairy egg and peanut allergy and he loves his yogurt we also do oatmeal, toast, pretty much anything doesn’t have to be breakfast foods he likes hot dogs most mornings lol

Pumpkin 🎃 pancakes Cracked wheat porridge, farina porridge, quinoa porridge Breakfast sausage and toast Avocado toast Breakfast tacos minus eggs

@Marisa there’s lots of plant based alternatives. My son doesn’t have milk and eggs (high intolerance only) due to his eczema and he loves chocolate oat milk. I think suckies do a dairy free yogurt pouch and coconut collab has some as well. ASDA is the supermarket I find the largest variety of dairy free alternatives with some specifically targeted to children ( enriched with certain vitamins they need). Try making an eggless cake/muffins, I think bagels are also dairy and egg free and you can add anything you’d like to them https://www.instagram.com/kidfriendly.meals?igsh=MTBkYzh2cXRsa3R2Mw== This page has lots of healthy kid friendly meals. I feel like I started following because the recipes are mostly dairy free. Egg is always adaptable by used things like applesauce, aquafaba etc. Sometimes looking for vegan recipes is the best way to ensure no egg and no dairy. Hope this helps

My toddler has allergies including dairy but is ok with 0% fat Greek yoghurt so she has that with honey and fruit, sausage & beans mixed with sweet potato, multigrain cereals with almond milk. She’s fussy with toast but loves garlic bread. Hope this helps x
