Potty training

Hey guys quick question so I’ve started potty training my three year-old again due to when we had our first experience it was just traumatic for me 🤣🤣 but we’ve started again & it’s going okay during the day & he is good when we go out but how do you guys do it in the night time as I want to go cold Turkey and not wear nappies for him at all so he doesn’t become reliant on it. Last night he wore a nappy to sleep and when we woke up this morning, it was full to the brim which had me in shock .. is there any advice anyone could give me to deal with the nighttime potty training, please? x😭😭

Night time is not really trainable, if they’re only wetting in the morning then maybe you can do something about it but if they’re peeing throughout the night then it’s more of a waiting game. From 5/6 is when you can get medical help, doing this more with my nearly 6 year old but my 3 year old is fully dry

@Kierrah Yeahhh it’s more of a throughout the night thing… I guess I’ll do the waiting game thing 😭

We honestly potty trained in the day and has been fully trained since August but he still wears a nappy to bed. At the start, he used to wake with a full nappy but now it’s nearly alwyas dry (6 out of 7 nights) and last night was the first time he woke me up tell me he needed a wee. I feel it’s a process and they learn in stages xx

@Charlotte okay maybe I won’t be so cruel & force him to do it during the night 😭🤣 and check back in, in a couple of months … thank you for your advice

I pottied train during day by going no diaper day for a week and also a fancy potty helped us Then after I noticed she’s getting dried all night I started taking her to pee at least thrice at night. After 2 weeks I went no diaper at night,. Bed time water an hour before bed. I kept taking her to pee just so she can empty her bladder as she had mastered potty training She was 2.3 year now she’s 2.10 year old and I only wake her up around 10pm then 3am. Sometimes if I sleep off she wakes me up to pee But I didn’t start all this till she showed signs of ready to be fully potty trained

Mine is fully trained more or less (preschool is a bit hit&miss) but I still put a nappy on for nights just in case. Just put the nappy on for night time and forget it even happened...nappy in the bin, pants on and day train 🤣🤞🏻

My 3 year old has been potty trained during the day for a few months now but still wears a pull up to sleep in. She has never been dry through the night. I’m not worried about it at the moment

@Peer95 I like this I think I’ll follow this as I don’t want to put him under too much pressure

@Catherine I’ve heard it takes some time to master the night time part, I wouldn’t stress too much about it but if you are worried maybe speak to a health visitor about it x

You could limit drinks before bed and put him on the potty just before he goes to sleep, some parents do a dream wee where they take their half asleep little one to the potty to wee before the parent sleeps at like 10/11 pm X
