Potty training when you’re out

My nearly 2 year old has got the hand of using the toilet now. When we’re home, she will tell me when she needs the toilet or I will take her when it’s been a while. We take her out with a nappy to avoid accidents but I feel that this pushes her back. I find it hard for her to keep her potty trained outside because of the lack of toilets around places/being able to get to a toilet quickly. What do you guys do with your kids? Any help will be great thank you

We have a portable potty we take out with us. He used it from the very first day. It's called my carry potty I think.

@Sophie how do you use this when you’re out sorry

Just put it on the floor wherever we are, car park, park, public toilets. Anywhere really, just find somewhere slightly away from the public.

When my daughter first started we used a piddle pad for the pram/ car seat & take a portable potty to just in case there sis t toilets close by and use x

@Sophie @Amelia is the portable potty something that can fit easily in a bag? & also what about like when you’re on a train with no toilet etc

Mine has a carry handle but fits in a large backpack. On the train if there was no toilet id just put him on it and close the lid when done. Empty it at next opportunity

The one I got comes with little bags to line the potty so you could bag it up till there’s a bin it also folds flat I’ll try and find the link x
