Breakfast

My lo isn’t a massive fan of breakfast. She prefers to pick on biscuits and banana instead of having porridge or toast ect. Is this okay? 13 months old

Yeah I think that's fine. Mine is the same. Loves fruit though. Will go to town on grapes, watermelon, raspberries or mandarins and some yogurt, but tends to avoid anything overly solid like toast, pancakes or porridge

Yep! My daughter doesn’t eat any cereals only thing she is guaranteed to eat is pancakes or fruit x

My twins absolutely love mini shredded wheats (we normally get the Aldi version) with half a banana. It’s great as it’s a cereal and is no added sugar but they can easily pick them up with their hands and feed themselves.we just soak them in a bit of full fat milk to soften them. Might be worth a try! x

Mine really isn't a breakfast fan either. Will have maybe 3 spoon fulls of weetabix before refusing it. Everything else i try just gets thrown on the floor. Most days it's yoghurt and some fruit for breakfast

How about yogurt

This makes me feel so much better because I’m in the same boat😂

Okay I don’t feel like I have bad mum guilt now reading these comments! It’s nice to know it’s pretty normal and people are in the same boat as me 🤭 I let her have a biscuit with her milk in the morning and then I’ve been giving her a banana and raspberries. I try pancake but that just gets thrown on the floor. I think as long as there eating something and getting nutrients and not losing weight then it should be fine x
