Finally!

My little boy finally arrived on Friday night, exactly 41 weeks! It was a long day and absolutely nothing went to plan 😅 after a few hours of contractions, my waters broke at 7.45 and by the time we got to the hospital I was already 6cm, we thought we were doing great! Well, after a few hours and some pushing, we found out I was still at 7cm and I was begging for an epidural, which I wanted to avoid but I was not coping 🙈 the day ended with me at 9cm but not getting the last 1, mine and baby's heartbeats raised and an emergency c section 😅 I was just glad it was over, and the operation was quite smooth, but of course now I have to deal with the pain 🙈 and I also can't wait to be home 😭

Congratulations you did great!!

Massive congratulations xx

Congratulations! You have done amazing xxx

Congratulations! What an amazing birth story. Emergency C section births are not easy! I hope you can rest and recover quickly.

Look at that hair!! Congratulations so beautiful xxx

@Becca the hair is my proudest genetic contribution 😂

Congrats!!! That is a full head of hair he's got too! Wow.

Congratulations The Joy of your little boy won't make you feel any pain 🤗

Sounds very similar to my experience: Contractions came on thick and fast after my waters broke (Friday afternoon, exactly 41 weeks). They were sooo intense I also begged for an epidural - and that was hard work to get in cos I wouldn't stop contracting 😱 and it also resulted in mine and baby's heart rates elevated, an infection somewhere and an emergency c-section!

Look at that beautiful head full of hair! 😍 Well done mamma, you did great. Wishing you all the best with your c-section recovery x

@Annie the worst moment for me was that hour in between coming out of the pool and the epidural taking effect 😅 I hope you're both well!

We're doing OK thanks, still in hospital as I've still got an infection somewhere so on IV antibiotics. Hoping to go home soon! Hope you and baby are both well too!

@Annie I was lucky, I didn't actually have an infection in the end so we came home yesterday. Staying in hospital was horrible, hold on tight, you'll feel so much better once you're at home
