Saying it’s sore

So for about 10 days my little boy who is nearly three , has been complaining that his Willy is sore when we go to change his pull up and asks us to be gentle. He doesn’t like it when I try to touch it to have a look. It looks all normal and ok. He sits on the toilet regular but never does anything. So we haven’t put pressure on that yet.. I’m going to book a doctors appointment this week.. has anybody experienced a similar thing?

Could be Balanitis, it’s basically when the head of the penis gets a little sore and red - does his urine have a strong smell to it? X

@Katie oh ok.. do I need to do anything? No.. he drinks like a fish.. so his wee never smells strong..

He could have a UTI. Def take him to the drs poor thing

10 days is a long time to have been complaining about the same thing, def take him to the doctor he could have a UTI

My son had this, he kept complaining and complaining GP didn’t help at all, ended up in emergency and told us it was Balanitis, they gave us cream and it was all better

Get him in there asap when you call the doc. Definitely not normal! Keep us posted on what it is will you? Line to have the info for if it ever did happen. I had never heard of balanitis.

@Jessica definitely see the GP as they usually offer a cream but no need to worry sometimes it’s irritation from a wet nappy or a dry nappy in general x

Fab! Thank you everyone! I’ll give the doctors a call in the morning.. my husband says when he changes him he doesn’t say anything and is fine.. so thought it was just me.. but will definitely get it checked! 👌🏼 I’ll keep you all posted with what they say!

So.. just got back from the doctors.. she managed to move the skin back.. and it’s bruised. She said he must of fallen on it… or knocked it on a swing or something.. so she’s given me some cream to use for 5 days.. so fingers crossed that does the job!
