Emotional pre labor symptoms

Hi all! As my due date approaches I’ve certainly noticed new and changing symptoms (it’s my first baby) but I’ve been quite intrigued with some stories of people who just felt ‘weird’ ‘off’ or just had some kind of intuition they were going into labor and even the sudden nesting urges could probably count just before labor. Did any of you notice any emotional changes prior? Like you subconsciously sensed it was about to happen? 😂 or was it totally unexpected and nothing out the ordinary in the lead up? Just curious ☺️

Went into labour at 35 weeks with my first child, no sign it was coming at all. Totally caught me off guard 😅 I’m just thankful my waters went at home and not at work a few hours before!

With my first baby I woke up in the morning and announced I was going to have her that day although my due date wasn't for 2 days. Everyone thought I was delusional and laughed but I was in fact right and gave birth that evening. Didn't have any significant signs, didn't lose my mucus plug, have a bloody show nor did my waters break just had a "feeling". I'm currently 39+1 and although I feel like my body is doing something and preparing for labour I feel none the wiser when he will arrive. This second pregnancy has been a lot more difficult physically and mentally so feel he'll keep me on my toes and possibly keep me waiting longer than I want to 🥴😫

Crazy! It’s funny as there’s definitely a lot of people taken totally by surprise and and also had a feeling. I’m 37 weeks and have noticed some changes the last couple days and wondered if somethings coming but also pregnancy just seems to throw new symptoms all the time regardless 😂😂

@Emily I definitely feel "off" today. I feel on the edge of something, like I could burst into tears or shout and swear at my husband if I get annoyed, but also want to sleep and lie down, don't want to do anything, don't feel excited. I wonder if I'm just getting used to being on maternity leave as it's only been 3 days, and I worry I've got up to 3 weeks of this and not being able to move and not knowing what to do with myself. I keep saying I'd love to have the baby tomorrow that would be really helpful 🤣 oh also I have an ear infection so that's probably not helping my general mood!

@Charley yeah I’m definitely feeling more emotional like all of a sudden as if the hormones have massively surged. I’m the same with mat leave too, I’ve been struggling with it and really ready for them to just be here now! Just need to trust ourselves and our bodies 🙏🏼😌 good luck! X

I have a bit of a feeling she's coming before my due date in 3 weeks but I'm not sure it's wishful thinking as I'm now so incredibly in pain with lightning crotch and feeling her so low down that I cannot fathom how I'm going to cope with another 3 weeks. I'm also ridiculously emotional.

@Bethan I can totally relate! I really feel for people who go till 42weeks! Hang in there! It’s coming soon for us! 🙏🏼
