You can blob some paint on paper and put it in a freezer bag so they can squidge it around without getting messy. Pinterest has some great ideas too x

Crayola do paint sticks, which child can hold same as a crayon, if you want a less messy alternative to paint. Shaving foam - it looks really messy in the moment but it will literally melt away with water. Pipe cleaners - can bend them into different shapes, thread beads / pasta onto them
