What toys give a sense of control and power (in a good way) for toddler

Magnetic tiles. My daughter is so happy and proud when she builds stuff. Took some time to learn how to but so cool to see what her brain thinks up.

@Amelia I agree seeing them play and learn excites me too! We have those tiles but I think my son's too young to understand... They seem like a hit tho!

We started small building simple things like a box or shape to put toys in. Then we did small towers. For a long time she loved building stuff just to knock it down now she builds structures and things for other toys like vehicles, cribs/bed, etc. I bought them for her Christmas gift and she was 21 months at the time. She really started playing more purposely around 2.
