Post c section
Hey ladies, I’m not sure if I should be concerned… I’m currently 5+6 weeks postpartum. I’ve just noticed above my scar what looks to be bruising, it’s right over where I am still numb so can’t feel if it’s painful.
I had a period a little over 3 weeks postpartum which lasted 8 days and then what o thought was a second one start 5 days later (so this Wednesday) this period has been a lot heavier than the last I’m aware periods can be temperamental after birth but I’ve also been having sharp pains in my lower abdomen around this bruising and my scar…
Could this potentially be internal stitches torn?

@Alicia it is quite warm to touch it just seems strange a bruise has suddenly broke out again 6 weeks after my section x
@Millie if thats the case id get it looked at, even after the blood thinners, we’re still susceptible to clots, hemorrhages for up to 12 weeks if its just come from nowhere and warm I’d phone in the gp tomorrow to get an emergency appointment or ring 111 xx did have random bruising tho weeks after mine and it was all fine ! Where that area is numb you might find you’ve knocked yourself somehow or pulled something so caused bruising but better to check c

This can be 100% normal it was for me! If you start experiencing throbbing or cramping pain, swelling, redness and warmth in the area then I’d go get it looked it otherwise can be totally normal !
