Holiday

I’m going on holiday in Nov and I’ll be 26 weeks, do I need a fit to fly note? If so I’m assuming I’d get one from my midwife?

It depends on the airline, though most are usually from 28 weeks/third trimester (some may even let you fly up to 36/37 weeks without anything but check) but given it’s so close I’d ask the midwife for one. Some trusts don’t even do them anymore as they don’t like the liability and say it’s at your own risk so I guess the GP may also be able to. Hopefully yours will be able to sort. Also take all your medical notes. I flew at 25 weeks back from Australia last time and just had my notes. I wasn’t showing too much though so also they may not of even known.

I’m flying with easy jet and their website says they don’t need a note. As Lauren has said it depends on the airline . Best to check their website. If you need a note , you can get them from you GP x

My GP told me they don’t do them anymore but I’d def check with yours x

Thank you all xx
