I eat a shit ton of kimchi myself for health benefits for myself but not for baby- for baby I buy a huge tub of yoghurt for myself and refill them into reusable pouches for him. That way we don’t run out of pouches and I don’t need to keep buying them, I just have to keep my supply of yogurt there available. (And it’s not messy, I can grab and go) I don’t like kefir can’t stand the taste, personally so I don’t expect my son to like it. You can make your own yoghurt if you want to people do it all the time, same as how Koreans make their own kimchi
I buy sauerkraut sometimes and once I tried giving my daughter some and she is obsessed now. Like her favorite food ever. She gets it’s sometimes and she is very happy :) I think it’s healthy for her. She is 22m old now
My LB has a cup of kefir and a rusk that he dips in, after his breakfast every morning
Try it! More flavor can often make them want to eat it!
@Chrissy she had it finely chopped into avocado as only had time for quick snack. Loved it. 😅
@Mara ahh good to know, thanks :) How do you serve it? Trying to research how often can be given and different ways to serve it without overpowering it with sweet stuff if possible
@Katrina will try this, thanks 🙂
She would eat it alone straight from the jar. i usually give it to her with chicken or some other meat
Kefir is great to make overnight oats with!
Sauerkraut is high in sodium so when I first introduced it I rinsed it under water to take some of the salt off. It's fine cold or warmed up. It can be a tricky one when they're younger as it is slippery and cut small. Kefir I've put into smoothies to help mask the taste as mine doesn't like it plain.
