Mum guilt over child eating crap

I feel as shes getting older shes eating crap food like biscuits, cake crisps. It used to be rare like once a week and now its most days🫠🤯 dont get me wrong its not excessive but like a biscuit before bed with her milk or if shes good in the shops ill give her somethin.. its a slippery slope and becoming more frequent!! I guess my question is how often are your lo’s having “bad” food?

I'm not calling any food bad food, mine can have whatever she wants but with measure, if she craves biscuit she will have one or two, not more at once, if she wants crisps, she will have 1/2 of a pack or a pack max per day, whatever she craves she has. She is not asking continously for snacks, probably once a day, or every other day, or when we are shopping. As long as she is eating food and time to time is asking for a not that healthy snack, I'm allowing. I'm not the perfect mum that would bake all day every day or make healthy snack daily, I'm a normal person and I don't want her to have a bad relationship with food, she can have whatever she wants as long as she is having a limit and knows when to stop.

Jakob has chocolate nearly every day! So do I though! Tonight he had fish and chips and chocolate ice cream for tea ❤️😂

I don't think a biscuit with milk is anything to beat yourself up about! We always have a treat after tea, the older kids have pudding after school dinner and Elaine has stuff at playgroup snack time. As long as yoi have healthy, balanced meals I don't see the problem with goodies 😋

I’m the same - no food is bad food! He has open access to the snack drawer which has a range of stuff in it - don’t want him to think of food as a treat or reward - it’s just all food!
