what age to stop the feed during night?

When did everyone stop their baby's feed during the night so their baby slept through from 11pm to 7am ? My friend gave me a sleeping coach booklet. It says after 6 weeks that if the baby is sleeping through the night, I can stop the 3-4am feed. I was just wondering if that will affect the baby's brain or any development ?

I weaned when my girl was 17months, but I stopped all feeding sessions at once. At that point she was only having breastfeeds before naps and during the night. Took 3 days to adjust for her, but about 7-10 days for me (in terms of milk supply). She didn't start sleeping through at once, but in about 2-3 weeks things got better. At first I replaced feeds with some rocking and holding her in my arms. Then we gradually switched to lying close and telling her stories after reading a book... Now she is 2.5y.o., falls asleep when I am lying next to her and hugging her... Occasionally still wakes up at night but falls asleep again quick...
