C section date booked🩷👶🏼

How many weeks will you be when it happens? I have a health condition and have been told to ‘start reading up’ on c-sections but don’t know if they mean in an emergency setting or if they are thinking I will have to go elective 🥺 x

Hiya, may I ask how far along you are, I’m seeing my mental health consultant when I’m 24 weeks so I’m hoping they’ll give me my date! That’s in a few weeks x

Have you got your big pants? M&s do brilliant high waisted pants. You'll want to avoid having anything sitting on the scar. x

@Jessie I’ll be 39 weeks when I have it! My last one was also booked for 39 weeks however I went into labour at 37+5 so they did it then instead, I loved my c section compared to my first vaginal birth there not as scary as it seems🥰 xx

@Olivia I’m 20 weeks today! Was surprised I got my date so soon as with my last one I didn’t get my date until 33 weeks x

I’m having a planned C-section but been told they can’t book a date until 32 weeks! So I don’t have my appointment to discuss until then. That’s good you have it all booked in.

@Jess I remember it being the same with my second and I didn’t get the date till 33 weeks!xx

Can I ask what's the reason? I'm only asking as I have high BP and it does seem to go down with medication but I feel this is going to be my path too

@Annie I had a traumatic birth with my first which included a 4th degree tear and a bad pph, my second was then an elected section as my tear hadn’t healed great and due to trauma I just wanted to have one and because of how well the section went and how quickly I recovered as aposed to 3 months with my vaginal birth I’ve chose that route again xx

How long was it before your first and second birth? I was just wondering as it's been 14 months since I last gave birth ( will be 18 when I give birth again) and I don't even know if I am healed properly. I had an episiotomy 😬

@Annie my first was 3 and a half when I had my second. I had a 4th degree tear and episiotomy, if your consultant led they should offer a scan which can tell you how your muscles have repaired etc that’s what I had around 27/28 weeks xx

I am consultant led due to previous GD and now high BP No ones mentioned about this scan. How does it happen? I have a normal growth scan at 31 weeks though
