Protein ++ in Urine
Hello, I had my 38 week midwife app yesterday and had protein ++ in my urine, they’ve requested I go back today for more bloods and urine samples. Anyone know what may happen if my protein is still high today this late into pregnancy?

Same happened to me! Proteín and high blood pressure but they said to don’t worry as it could be quite normal as this late stage of pregnancy. I was 39 weeks on my appointment
If blood pressure a bit raised it could be beginnings of preeclampsia and they may offer you an induction or just careful monitoring
Blood pressure is absolutely fine, no other indicators other than high protein in my wee!
Hopefully just normal for this stage of preg then and I imagine they’ll just keep extra close tabs on you and monitor blood pressure and urine
They’re probably just double checking since you’re close to birth. If your blood pressure isn’t high then it’s not too much of an issue. I get protein in my wee without reason sometimes.
