Hi, my little boy us 8 months. We started on purees and I've gradually increased the lumps and textures. This morning I gave him banana pancakes which went better than expected which makes me less anxious. However, if I ever give a pouch of puree then he would eat the whole thing. However I don't think he ate as much woth the pancakes. I did one egg, one banana and 1 tbs of flour. He probs ate 50% of it with some on the floor and ended up sitting on some of it somehow! Would this still fill him up? I guess it's thicker than the puree but it didn't feel like he ate as much. Thank you

Food under one is just for fun as milk should still be his primary source of nutrition! Therefore I’d say it’s fine! ☺️

They're still young to eat fully. It's very normal. We also forget They're very tiny human with tiny stomach.

Was going to say what @Courtney said! It’s totally fine to let babe eat when they are hungry and stop when they want. I’ve worried also but milk really is/should be their main source of nutrition

My almost 8 month old wouldn’t eat anywhere near that amount. We’re struggling to get him to have any more than a couple of spoonfuls. I’m always worried he’s hungry but I’m sure they’d let you know if they were. I would just carry on with their usual milk and follow their cues
