should I be worried about my baby not eating

My Lo is nearly 8 months and still does not eat any food. We have tried purées and BLW. And he is just not interested. He gags most of the time and is sometimes sick. He will put things to his mouth pull a face and that’s it he will close his mouth the rest of the time. I just don’t know when I should start to be concerned. They say from this age they should be on 2-3 meals a day.. he doesn’t even have a spoonful😪 I am so stressed and worried any advice would be great please

My little one is the same purées is a no go she swats the spoon away and blw sometimes shel hold the food and squeeze other times she won’t even touch it I am worried and stressed as she isn’t great with her milk either but there’s nothing much we can do apart from keep trying x

My 7 month old is very similar. I was advised by the Health Visitor to keep trying, and if things don't improve, they'll send a Health Visitor out to see how they can help. It might be worth speaking to a Health Visitor to see if they can come out and help you.

Food before one is just for fun, babies main source of calories should be milk until they’re 1! Some babies just dont take to solids very quickly, my 7 month old is very uninterested unless its toast 🤣 try not to stress, every baby is different x

My LO is indifferent trying BLW except for banana but will eat some purées. This week absolutely refused then her top teeth popped through and it all made sense. What have you tried so far? We find anything milk based she eats all of. Porridge, weetabix & we add milk to things like chicken, mash & carrot or salmon & broccoli
