I don’t know what to do with my days.

Is someone willing to share what your day to day looks like with baby?

I’m on maternity leave so I’m mostly just trying to soak in my time because life will look very different in next couple weeks. Most of my day is breastfeeding it feels like lol but also After he’s content from first feed I put him in pack and play (he likes to kick his toy) Eat breakfast/coffee Then add in a million feedings but in between those windows may be: Talking to him/sing/play Short sessions of tummy time (on my chest or on his play mat) Stroller ride/dog walk Dancing with him to music And if he falls asleep for long enough I try to do my dishes or other chores. My city has mommy and me fitness classes I would love to do if I was home longer. That’s one idea?

We do eat-play-sleep and he takes 4 naps a day so we repeat that cycle 4 times a day we usually do a walk in the morning before it gets to hot (and sometimes he falls asleep on the walk). During wake windows we play with toys in the bouncer, look at black and white images, sit outside in the backyard and talk about what we see, we read books, play with toys on the mat, and do tummy time. I am constantly taking to him or playing music in the background. Just started getting comfortable with taking him to stores so we might start running more errands together when it cools down. Interested in what other people do as well as I think he is getting bored of the same old activities sometimes. He is 4 months next week (born 3.5 was early)

It’s currently just him and me at home, so we wake up some time between 430 and 800. Go to the living room, I have coffee he has boobs, eventually he goes back to sleep and I watch some tv. Some days we go places around 1030 or so, some times the store, some times mommy&me group, some times to pop into my work’s meetings to say hi….we generally get home around 1 from those, we play on the floor in the afternoon, tummy time, I sign and sing a lot to him during this time, eventually he naps again, and I either eat an early dinner if I have left overs or prep/make dinner….some times his dad comes over after work between 6 and 8…other times it’s still just us all evening. Babe normally falls asleep some time between 745 and 900. I watch tv until I decide to go to bed, once I get him settle into bed (we bed share) I then normally read until Im ready to fall asleep.

Baby and I are up at 7am, she takes 3 30-minute naps and 2 2-hour naps, and bedtime at 9-10pm. I feed on demand but it's usually eat-play-sleep except between the last two naps where she eats at the start and end of the wake window. We go on a walk a little after 9am, and I pump after every feeding as I'm trying to increase my supply a bit and build a stash. Other than that I spend a good chunk of my day playing with her, reading to her, and knitting/crocheting.

My day to day is pretty monotonous lol, I have a 2 month old so it pretty much consists of feeds, changing diapers, trying to figure out why shes crying, trying to make breakfast or ordering out (depends on what she allows me to do), trying to catch up on sleep while baby is asleep, waking up between 10 and noon for the day and moving to the living room, calling my sister for social interaction, maybe playing a video game and waiting for my husband to get home to take the baby a few hours. Then I clean up or just relax a little. Waiting until maybe 9 to move back to the bedroom and then putting baby to bed.
