Oh, what an adorable way to do it! I never got my results as a test result, just my doctor emailing me and telling me. But I’ll do it for my partner, that way it’s a surprise at least for him!
Whatever you do: tell them your instructions a million times and have them repeat back to you. Publix ruined my gender reveal cake. I thought I was clear with my instructions (lemon filling for boy/raspberry for girl) outside frosting plain buttercream absolutely no writing or decorations. I let my OB nurse tell the baker the gender and they wrote it down on the order. I go in the next day to pick up our gender reveal cake to find a bright yellow cake waiting for me. 😳 I burst into tears. I was so upset.
I’m so sorry that happened to you! I originally went to Publix and they were extremely rude and seemed really inconvenienced to do one so I went else where! (Being emotional and pregnant I cried walking out of the bakery) It’s such a special thing especially for new moms❤️ Highly recommend Nothing Bundt Cakes if there’s one in your area.
My doctors office asked if I wanted the gender in a phone call or if I wanted it in an envelope! You can just give the envelope to whoever is making the cake!
I didnt want to spend much on the cake and was not interested in eating it either so just for the private reveal i got the envelope from the doctor and ordered a gender reveal cake from heb and had them check the gender. Be careful definitely let them know that you're the mom and you dont wanna know the gender.
Mines gonna be a Christmas tree lighting gender reveal party. I’m having the doctor, write it on a note card and giving it to my aunt so she can prepare for the party and so I can be surprised

My doctors office has male/female gender stickers that they put in a yellow envelope. I collected it and gave it to the baker without peeping. Asked for pink filling for a girl and blue for a boy. My husband and I had a private gender reveal with just us this weekend.
So cute, @Rimma ! Wish my doctor’s office told me that was a choice. Oh well, it was a nice surprise for my husband anyway.
It’s totally up to you! I personally did a cake reveal for just my partner and I and recorded it and sent it to close friends and family afterwards. I took my results to Nothing Bundt Cakes and I showed them (but I didn’t look at results) and asked them to keep it a secret and they were great! It was perfect!
